Overview
The 2024 Christchurch Regional Boccia Championships is a regional sanctioned event open to anyone with a physical disability across New Zealand in which players can compete and earn national ranking points. The competition will run as an individual round robin progressing to a finals format. Individual grades will depend on the number of entries and some grades may need to be combined. National rankings will be used to determine the seeding positions. Players who do not have a current ranking will randomly be placed into a pool.
Competition Dates:
Saturday 6th April 2024 (10:00am – 6:00pm)
Sunday 7th April 2024 (9:00am – 4:00pm)
Venue
Christchurch Netball Centre, Nga Puna Wai, Augustine Drive, Wigram
Classification:
Please note all athletes require at least a provisional classification to compete.
This involves completing a Medical Diagnostic Form prior to the competition which is assessed by a classification panel.
Please note the Medical Diagnostic Form does include a part which must be completed by a medical doctor.
If you require a Medical Diagnostic Form (MDF) or are unsure whether you require provisional classification, please contact sportdevelopmentlead@boccia.org.nz
Below is a copy of the MDF in conjunction with a Guide to help with the completion of the MDF.
